Budapest, oh mighty metropolisWrapped in thy historical beauty,
„Paris of the East”, will you marry me?
I am already Queen of the Danube
and the Heart of Hungary,
pulsing with pálinka, romanticism
and hungarian creativity.
No wonder that Budapest could be the city where a new travelutionary idea was born : our Underguide local collective gives the visitors the feeling as if they had come to meet an old friend. BudapestUNDERGUIDE is a travel agency, with tailor made tours and programs be it individuals, a group or corporate events. We have started this blog to spread our mission: Never be an outsider tourist anymore! Travel just like visiting a friend!

We, having trotted the globe quite a bit ourselves, came to realize that the most precious travel moments are often those spent with friends, and especially with local ones. We believe visitors would like to feel the heartbeat of a city, they would like to understand the heart and mind of a nation, would like to taste the booze the locals drink every night and would like to look beyond that corner, go further down that street and check out that hidden bar over there. When you are immersed into an atmosphere among your local friends, having lost track of time, tied up in conversations or just enjoying a moment, it is at that second, that cultures truly meet, and once again, the world has become a tiny bit a better place ☺
