Dali likes pizza - crazy little pub

I was thinking for a long time if to write about this place or not. It is certainly not touristy, and not even really know by locals. It is a very small pub with the weirdest things accumulated inside. You would sure miss it, walk by, or even once inside you would consider it a trashy pub without style. However, upstairs there is the reincarnation of Dali's "Persistence of Time" painting, with pizzas. Please notify me, if you have ever seen such a thing in a small trashy bar, without any noticeable contemporary artistic mission!
Sport Cafe is the name of this unusual place. It is in a frequented area, around Oktogon, in the middle of Nagymező street, aslo called the Pester Broadway. The owner must be a fan of soccer, Dali, grapes, Arabian culture and so on. And he wanted to manifest all his interests on 10 square metres.


First of all, you can sit in the window, but I mean really inside it - so people walking by stare at you, and you stare are them. If you feel embarrassed, you can try to hide behind one of the waterpipes - basically they are everywhere and nobody seems to use them.

When we were there, we also found this strange collection of coasters which are part of the campaign "Stay silent on the streets when you get out of the bars". You can see a woman on the right, she is Michele Wild, a Hungarian porno star, sying hush :) You might find the same poster in some clubs as well.


Glancing further around, and taking cheep beers and fröccs (do not expect any quality drinks here, you rather feel you are paying for being surrounded by unusual objects), you can notice a light switch which says "6Th District" in Hungarian. So, if you feel like, you can switch off the whole district :)

I forgot to mention, upstairs, next to the pizzas, there are  some glowing grapes. The list of crazy things in... is endless I guess.
