whats up budapest? - regular underground partyguide

Budapest is the city of ruin pubs, open-air places and festivals (well, not always, but in summer for sure). It's not summer now and I am a little fed up with ruin pubs as well, so I decided to check out where to go for some fresh dancing. I don't call it clubbing, Budapest is not really a city for clubbing, I'd rather call it just pure partying.
Don't wait for too many options or well-known DJs week by week, I can offer just some interesting venues you should check, where nice people and some promising music can be found.

Friday - party
Saturday - party

Friday

Even though it is not summer, there is a festival going on this weekend, called Fridge Festival. What do people need in a cool ski and snowboard festival? Some hot moves... I'm sure that's why James Zabiela is playing on Friday. That British guy plays nice house and techno, and is ranked 49. this year's Dj Mag Top 100. If it wouldn't be enough, Oliver Huntemann is playing as well for those who trust only German electronic music.

Last weekend we checked the brand new partyplace of Budapest, Szikra. It is just on the way to turn out if it's just another nice but boring try for cheering the partypeople up, or something special. We should all do something for the second option, so let's go, and make some moves to Alice Russell's music on Friday.

Saturday
If you are not bored of dancing in a 'oncehasbeen' cinema, or just waiting for some harder beats, don't miss M.A.N.D.Y. in Szikra. Who wouldn't remember M.A.N.D.Y.'s famous coproduction with Booka Shade called Body Language. Ok, Booka Shade won't be here, and M.A.N.D.Y. is also represented by Patrick Bodmer only, but nice vibes are more than likely this night.

Hungry for some authentic Hungarian? This Saturday a new series of parties will be born in Club Mono, called Propaganda, this weekend with Hungarian DJs. The venue itself worths checking, especially after the summer renovation (including the sound system), but the party with its progressive beats might be fun as well.
