Discovering South Buda o a walking tour

I am one of the guides of budapestUNDERGUIDE and right now we are running a campaign Séta van! (Walking!) where we organize free walks every Sunday. We had a nice 2hours long walk in the 11th disctrict, in South-Buda, which is a less visited district of Budapest.

I was so amazed about the Kopaszi-gat park: i have never thought that there is such a beautiful, modern style park here. The fact, that they were organizing a Word Expo in Budapest in 1996 surprised me very much, it is a pity they had to cancel it. Anyway, the exhibition center of Vatican was ready before the cancellation so you still can see it.

We discovered also the colorful flats behind Allee shopping center, the reconstruction plans of the Mushroom at Moricz Zsigmond korter, and we learnt some funny and interesting stories about the construction of the underground line nr. 4.

At the end we had a glass wine in Szatyor bar and could chill out after the long walk. All the 20 participants had great fun and found the walk very interesting - discovering the city you live in is a never ending story.
