Fairy Tales do come true in Budapest - Sugar Shop design confectionary

We had our design Budapest walk this Sunday. There is plenty to tell you about, we have been in the Zara Design Hotel and than also in Tuzrakter Cultural Centre, and wandered along the Paulay Street where you could easily spend all your earnings on the fancy stylish new-generation Hungarian designer clothes. However, there are some more affordable pieces of fashion, namely the bag collection of Sugar Shop - all edible :D

Down with Viennese Cafe style and long live the Design Futuristic Candy shops!

Eszter Horváth was bored of the traditional triangle and roundish cubish forms in the world of desserts so she decided to come up with something new. Why not use the passion for fashion, the fashion for passion or whatever to pimp up the cake market? Actually, why did it take so long to come up with this idea?

Paulay Ede street is a little hidden, but if you happen to wander there on fashion wear hunt, then you will sure notice Sugar SHop - it is gleaming with a white light onto the streets, and magical colours are calling you like sirens inside. It is a fairy tale come-true, you can almost eat everything in every colour and the waiters and shop assistants wear 50s retro US candy store clothes. Okay, on smiling they still have to improve but then it is really going to be like in the movie Pleasentville.

Eat with your mouth and eyes and do not leave without checking the girls/men's room. Hilarious! Peeing in fairyland, really, i dare not say what is missing - they knew the limits. Beware, not everything is made of candy :D

Go candy-shopping!
